Last Minute Reading Read-A-Thon Kick Off/Reading Updates!!

Welcome to the
Last Minute Reading Read-A-Thon,
hosted by Vonnie @
Just click on the button above for
all sign-ups & Vonnie's
terrific giveaway!

This awesome event will allow those of us busy bookworms that have not met this years' reading goals to catch up, or at least try to!  It's also for those who enjoy a good reading challenge, especially as the year nears its end.

The read-a-thon starts today, Dec. 26th, which will give me (and any of you who want to join in) that little extra push to get some books under my (your) belt!

These are the books I will
attempt to finish before year's end!
Click on each book's image

for each one.

These books are part of my goal for The 2012 Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge, which runs until Epiphany (January 6th).  For Vonnie's read-a-thon, though, I will have to finish them by Dec. 30th!  Well, all I can do is try my hardest!

**UPDATES**

12/26/12:
Finished reading
A Regency Christmas Carol!
When I signed up for this challenge,
I was on page 230.
I've read to the end -- page 352.
The review will soon be up!

12/27/12:
I'm working on the review for
the first book.
I've also started reading
The Christmas Brides, and
am now on page 46.

12/28/12:
I was up very late last night,
updating things on my blog, so
I got up around noon today.
After lunch, I went back
to The Christmas Brides,
and have gotten up to page 155.
This book is actually a
collection of two novellas, and I'm
nearly done with the first one, titled
"A McKettrick Christmas".

12/30/12
I finished!!  I didn't think I would
have the time, since
hubby and I went out to dinner
and to do some other things,
but I did!!
I started the day on page 300,
and read bits and pieces
throughout the day.
Finally, at 11:48 PM, I got to
page 377, the last one
of the second novella, titled
"A Creed Country Christmas"!!
Woot, woot!!!!!

What a good idea to create a challenge aimed at completing other unfinished challenges!

Well, I'm almost done with the first book. When I found out about this read-a-thon, I was more than three quarters along with the first book. Since I'm on vacation this week, I think I'll be able to finish it today! Then I'll start on the second one right away!

I agree that this is a TERRIFIC idea!! Hopefully everybody will be able to complete their goals!
